Tree Planting

84,000 trees planted at DRAGON DREAMING and RE-GEN EVENTS....and counting!

The merger of the not-for-profit Dragon Dreaming Festival with the Regrowth Tree Planting Festival (REGEN Eco-projects) has united us under one mission—creating a ‘leave a positive trace’ festival experience that everyone can be part of. Dragon Dreaming Festival now proudly continues the legacy, adding to the 73,000 native plants that have been planted to date at Regrowth Festivals. Over the past three years alone, an additional 11,000 trees have been planted at the Dragon Dreaming Festival site, strengthening our commitment to land restoration and environmental regeneration.

Dragon Dreaming Festival will continue to incorporate large-scale revegetation as a core part of its ethos, ensuring an ongoing, positive environmental impact.
A 5-year Revegetation Management Plan has been developed for the Wee Jasper site, ensuring a methodical approach to pre-planting preparation, in-situ planting efforts, and ongoing post-planting management.

An essential element of this tree planting mission is to facilitate the opportunity for festival attendees to participate. The simple act of planting a tree has profound benefits—not only for the Earth but also for the tree planter. For many, Dragon Dreaming Festival will be their first opportunity to actively contribute to environmental conservation, creating lasting connections with nature and raising awareness of ecological restoration.

Join the Tree Planting Effort!

Tree planting will take place on Saturday and Sunday of the festival from 9am - 5pm at the designated tree planting zone. A limited supply of tools and gloves will be available, so bringing your own will help ensure everyone has what they need.
